The Meta-owned company is working on a safety called end-to-end encryption. It came way back in 2016 which is known as the high safety standard.
It is reported that WhatsApp is bringing two indicators to notify users that calls are end-to-end encrypted.
The new indicators will appear on the Status screen, and Calling screen on WhatsApp iOS version.
The calls of the users are said to be protected through end-to-end encryption. According to WABetaInfo WhatsApp screen shots, the app displays “Your status is end-to-end encrypted” on the Status screen while “Your personal calls are end-to-end encrypted” is displayed on the Calling screen.
WhatsApp has been working on the end-to-end encryption feature since the starting of this year.
Although, the Meta-owned app became a victim of controversies over its new policy and terms of usage.
Nevertheless, WhatsApp cannot read users messages, but the data isn’t encrypted and can be accessed by the Meta.
