Korean drama Squid Game has taken over the world, and the millions of memes and posts on the internet are proof. But the new parody-version created by Nigerian group The Ikorodu Bois has left the internet stunned. Despite the lack of resources and modern technology, the young group of aspiring filmmakers have impressed everyone with their creativity by recreating iconic scenes from the popular Netflix survival drama.
The popular Nigerian group created a trailer while enacting the scenes from Squid Game (frame by frame) which even features the Red Light, Green Light game scenes as well. And as the popularity of the dystopian drama continues to grow with each day, the now-viral ‘low budget’ parody created by The Ikorodu Bois continues to win more hearts with each day. Needless to say, netizens even showered the young group with praise, which ended up with the parody going viral within no time.

Meanwhile, talking about the immense popularity of the show, Netflix co-CEO and chief content officer Ted Sarandos had said, “There’s a show on Netflix right now that is the No. 1 in the world, like everywhere in the world. It’s called Squid Game.” While Sarandos predicted the Korean survival drama to become the biggest non-English language show ever, the numbers released by Netflix a few weeks later confirmed his opinion.
