On Dhanteras, comedian Samay Raina purchased a Toyota Vellfire, a luxury MPV, for himself and his family. He shared the moment on Instagram Stories through multiple photos and a video. One image showed Raina standing in the showroom, observing the vehicle. Another captured his parents positioned on either side of the car, while a third depicted Raina sitting on the floor in front of it. A photo showed his mother touching his face affectionately. In a short video, Raina revealed the car’s all-black interior, captioning it, “You guys were right.”
According to Carwale.com, the Toyota Vellfire, a 7-seater MUV/MPV, is priced between Rs 1.20 crore and Rs 1.30 crore. It offers two variants with a 2487 cc engine, an automatic transmission, six airbags, and three color options. The cabin features a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a 15-speaker JBL sound system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a 360-degree camera, hill-assist control, and ADAS features. The interior is available in sunset brown, black, or neutral beige themes.

In 2020, Raina announced his first car purchase, a Honda City, on Instagram, stating, “Bought my first car yesterday from the money I made from brand deals recently. Now I will learn how to drive. Only problem is that I grew up playing GTA.” Per gomechanic.in, his car collection includes a Mini Cooper, Ford Mustang, Kia Carnival, and Porsche Boxster.

Earlier this year, Raina faced controversy over his YouTube show India’s Got Latent. An FIR was filed against him, Apoorva Mukhija, Ashish Chanchlani, and Ranveer Allahbadia for allegedly promoting obscene content. In August, the Supreme Court directed Raina, Vipul Goyal, Balraj Paramjeet Singh Ghai, Nishant Jagdsish Tanwar, and Sonali Thakkar to issue an unconditional apology on their YouTube channels for allegedly insensitive remarks about people with disabilities.
