His emotional note reflected a father’s pride in seeing his son’s hard work and talent being recognized and celebrated widely.

Amitabh Bachchan took to X to share his pride over the praise his son Abhishek is receiving for Kaalidhar Laapata, writing, “With the mountains of praise coming for Abhishek and the film Kaalidhar Laapata, mountains of pride fill my heart and mind for my SON.” He also shared a heartfelt message from actor-director Tinnu Anand, who lauded Abhishek’s performance: “Sirjee, as I don’t have Abhishek’s number, could you please congratulate him from my side? Directed by Madhumita, Kaalidhar Laapata tells the poignant story of Kaalidhar, portrayed by Abhishek Bachchan, a middle-aged man grappling with memory loss and emotional abandonment. As his family plots to leave him behind at the chaotic Maha Kumbh Mela, Kaalidhar unexpectedly vanishes on his own, setting the stage for a transformative journey.

During his escape, Kaalidhar meets Ballu, an 8-year-old boy surviving alone on the streets. Their unlikely bond becomes the heart of the film, as they navigate hardship, loneliness, and unexpected companionship together, offering a deeply emotional and human narrative at the core of the story.
