Minor Hotels Announces First Minor Reserve Collection Signing

Minor Hotels Announces First Minor Reserve Collection Signing

Minor Hotels has officially signed the first property for its newly launched luxury soft brand, Minor Reserve Collection.

The Thailand-based hotel group has partnered with Gremi International Group to develop the Aventora Resort Baía Formosa, Minor Reserve Collection in Brazil, with an opening scheduled for 2028.

Located in the state of Rio Grande do Norte in Brazil’s northeast, the new-build resort will focus heavily on eco-tourism and high-end wellness. The property will feature 50 guestrooms and 28 branded residences, the latter offering ownership opportunities within the resort development.

The signing marks the formal debut of the Minor Reserve Collection, a concept announced last year as a portfolio of independently branded properties chosen for their distinct character. The collection is designed to offer personalized service while allowing individual hotels to maintain their unique identities.

“We are thrilled to partner with Gremi International to announce the first signing for Minor Reserve Collection, our new collection brand in the luxury segment. The property will be a great addition to Brazil’s highly dynamic and growing tourism sector, with Pipa being recognized as a key destination for eco-tourism in the country,” Dillip Rajakarier, CEO Minor Hotels, said in a statement. “There is rising demand for luxury and water sports tourism, attracting travelers who seek properties with distinctive character alongside highend accommodation that integrates comfort, adventure and sustainability—the hallmarks of the newly launched Minor Reserve Collection brand.”

Situated near Baía Formosa, the resort is positioned to leverage the region’s reputation for outdoor adventure. The location is approximately 60 minutes by car from both Governador Aluízio Alves International Airport in Natal and João Pessoa International Airport in Paraíba.

On-site amenities will include multiple dining venues, ranging from all-day dining and specialty restaurants to a pool bar and grill, as well as a dedicated spa, fitness center, and exercise studio. A Kids’ Club and curated library are also planned.

The destination is well-regarded for water sports, specifically kite surfing, surfing, stand-up paddle boarding, and mangrove kayaking. Guests will have access to nearby natural attractions such as the Genipabu dunes, Dolphin Bay (Baía dos Golfinhos), and Pipa Beach, famous for its cliffs and Atlantic Forest vegetation.

This project expands Minor Hotels’ existing footprint in Brazil, where it currently operates five properties under the Tivoli, NH Collection, and NH brands. The group also has a pipeline of future openings in the country, including the upcoming debut of its core luxury brand, Anantara.
