With more and more names getting added to the list of unlikely couples of 2021, the buzz about Marvel hunk Chris Evans dating pop sensation Selena Gomez has gained momentum and got everyone excited. While the year kicked off with dating rumours about Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles, it got more intense when Kourtney Kardashian confirmed her relationship with Travis Barker, followed by many other names. But things really heated up when Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck rekindled their romance in April while actress Angelina Jolie stepped out for another dinner-date with rapper The Weeknd. And with Chris Evans and Selena Gomez joining the bandwagon, fans are having a real hard time digesting all the unlikely names coming together.

Although, both Evans and Gomez have remained tight-lipped and avoided commenting about the dating rumours, the fact that the Marvel superstar recently started following Gomez on Instagram has surely raised a lot of eyebrows. And with pictures of the two going viral on the internet, fans have been using terms like ‘power couple’ and ‘hot couple’ while sharing their excitment about the rumoured pair.

While the paparazzi clicks of Evans and Gomez spotted at the same locations are from the past (with each taken at different time), they have surely acted as fuel to the ongoing fire of dating rumours on the internet. And with new reports highlighting the truth behind those images, fans are still rooting for the two to come together. In addition to these clicks and Evans move on Instagram, an old clip of Gomez from 2015 admitting having a huge crush on the Captain America actor too grabbed everyone’s attention. “I kind of have a crush on Chris Evans. Isn’t he cute? He’s very cute,” Selena said on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

While Selena has dated Justin Bieber and The Weeknd in the past, Evans has been quite private about his relationships, but it looks like the internet is already rooting for the rumoured lovebirds, who are yet to comment on the rumours. Meanwhile, earlier this year (in March) Gomez had opened about her love life in an interview with Los Angeles Times and said, “I’m actually grateful that I’m not involved with anyone right now.”
