Popular educator and YouTuber Faizal Khan, renowned as Khan Sir shared a video of getting tied over 15,000 rakhis on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan 2025. Buzz on social media is that it is an unofficial world record for the largest number of rakhis tied to an individual.

Khan Sir sat on the stage where female students tied him the sacred thread. The programme commenced at 10 am in the morning and continued late in the afternoon. During the ceremony the educator announced on the mike, “Khoon ruk gaya hai, doctor ko bulao,” as his hand became stiff.

After the ceremony, Khan Sir showed off his hand tied by thousands of rakhi. He quipped, “

Raksha Bandhan ki dher saari shubhkaamnayein

Rakhi toh aaj 15,000 se zyada ho gaya hai

Uth bhi nahi paa raha hai haath mera

Is kaliyug mein hum itne saubhagyashaali hai ki itna raakhi bandha gaya hai

Ab uthenge kaise bhaiya

Ek aadmi humein pakad ke le jana padega

Aur dhyaan dijiyega kisi bhi ladki ko khane pine mein koi problem nahi hona chahiye

(Happy Raksha Bandhan. It’s over 15,000 rakhis now. I am unable to even lift my hand. In this Kaliyug era, it’s my good fortune that these many rakhis were tied to me. Now I need a person to help me get up. And please ensure these girls don’t feel any inconveniences.)

Here’s how the internet reacted. “Bhaichare ki misaal hai (epitome of brotherhood), ” remarked one, while another user quipped that Khan Sir should be labelled as “Super Bhai” now. A few others dropped memes trolling the educator.
