With Diwali 2025 approaching on October 20, Google India has shared a creative way to design party invitations. On its official Instagram, the company posted a video showing how anyone can quickly create vibrant, handwritten-style digital invites using AI, making festive preparations easier and more fun.
The AI prompt given by Google stated, “ A modern and stylish Diwali party invitation with a colourful, festive vibe. Use a sophisticated palette with jewel tones (deep maroon, emerald, sapphire, gold) or warm pastels (peach, coral, lavender). Include elegant abstract patterns, watercolour splashes, and subtle confetti accents. Add festive elements like glowing diyas, lanterns, or minimal rangoli motifs in a contemporary style. Central design can feature a glowing diya or lantern radiating warmth. Typography should combine a graceful handwritten script for Diwali Party with clean sans-serif fonts for the details: Date: 18th October, Time: 7 pm onwards, Venue: Grand Celebration Hall. Overall mood: joyful, inviting, and classy, perfect for adults celebrating the Festival of Lights.”

Google shared five pro tips for creating personalized Diwali party invitations. These include selecting the format and orientation (like portrait or square), adding lighting effects such as a soft golden glow or candlelight warmth, defining the use-case (social media or print), guiding composition (central diya with neatly placed text), and incorporating cultural accents like subtle mandalas or festive borders.

Gemini Nano Banana, part of Gemini AI, is an advanced photo-editing model celebrated for its realism, natural lighting, and ability to seamlessly blend new elements into images while preserving facial features and authentic emotions. Using simple copy-paste prompts in the Gemini Nano editor, users can guide the AI to create Diwali-themed scenes by specifying settings like lanterns, diyas, rangoli, fairy lights, or fireworks. Including traditional outfits, jewelry, and classic poses adds cinematic authenticity, while highlighting emotions and interactions generates warmth and intimacy. Proper lighting, such as soft glows or bokeh effects, and maintaining identity consistency ensures realistic, recognizable outputs.
To create Diwali couple photos, users select ‘Couple’ mode in the Gemini Nano Banana AI Editor and upload a clear base photo. Tailored prompts define festive settings, attire, and emotional tone, and iterative refinements unlock creative results. Blending traditional elements with modern touches, like smartphones with ethnic décor, adds a contemporary twist. Emphasizing photorealism over perfection, minor imperfections are kept for genuine, memory-like images. Once satisfied, the AI-crafted Diwali photos can be downloaded, shared, or used for personal and creative projects.
