Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea has announced a new guest-only experience: “The White Lotus Behind-the-Scenes Tour.” The resort served as the filming location for the first season of the HBO Emmy-winning series “The White Lotus.”
Inviting guests to go beyond the screen and immerse themselves further into the story, former Maui County Film Commissioner Tracy Bennett leads the hour-long “set-jetting” tour experience for small groups of up to six guests. Bennett brings these spaces to life with insider stories from someone who was there when it all unfolded.
The tour includes a walking path through some of the resort’s most memorable on-screen locations, with stop-by-stop commentary and images to illustrate how the resort was transformed into The White Lotus. Along the way, guests will retrace the steps of their favorite characters, from poolside meltdowns to lobby confessions, while seeing the luxurious resort in a whole new light.
Offering exclusive access to iconic filming locations and show memorabilia, the tour is a seaside nostalgia trip, including a rare firsthand look at Tanya’s infamous urn, Armond’s now-iconic pink linen suit (complete with The White Lotus lapel pin) and Olivia’s mushroom bucket hat, among other scene-stealing props and wardrobe pieces.
The hour-long tour runs multiple days a week and offers a glimpse into the Emmy-winning cultural phenomenon that sparked a screen tourism boom and helped put set-jetting on the map.
“It’s an honor to share the birthplace of The White Lotus with guests, where nearly every single scene was filmed,” says Bennett. “This special access tour is a prime example of how powerful screen tourism can be, and the collaboration between Four Seasons Resort Maui and The White Lotus represents something truly groundbreaking in hospitality.”
The tour is complimentary and available only to resort guests. It can be booked through the resort’s concierge team.
All three seasons of “The White Lotus” are available to stream on HBO Max.
