TW: Mention of suicide
The Bengaluru police filed an FIR against Bhavish Aggarwal, CEO of Ola Electric; senior officer Subrata Kumar Das; and the company on October 6 in connection with the alleged suicide of a techie at the firm. Per reports, the deceased K. Aravind, a homologation engineer at Ola, unalived themself on September 28, 2025. Police recovered a 28-page suicide note from the person’s residence which accused Ola’s boss and management of excessive workload, financial exploitation, and harassment. The engineer named Bhavish Agarwal, along with Subrata Kumar Das. Authorities also found out that on September 30, which is two days after the techie’s death, Ola transferred an amount of Rs 17.46 lakhs to his account.
The deceased, K. Aravind, worked as a homologation engineer and allegedly consumed poison on September 28, 2025. Two days later, authorities discovered a transfer of Rs 17.46 lakh from the company to Aravind’s account. During a search of Aravind’s room, police recovered a 28-page death note in which he allegedly accused Subrata Kumar Das and Bhavish Aggarwal of mental harassment, excessive workload, and non-payment of salary and dues.
This is the second suicide in six months that is related to Ola. In May 2025, an Ola Krutrim employee was found dead in Agara lake.
