Directed by Anubhuti Kashyap, Konkona Sensharma and Pratibha Ranta’s upcoming film Accused was recently announced in the Netflix 2026 line-up. One of the much-anticipated films of the month, the makers of the film unveiled the trailer of the movie on Saturday afternoon, with the caption, “Every relationship has secrets. Are you ready to find theirs? Watch Accused, out 27 February, only on Netflix.”
The one-minute 56-second trailer introduces the audience to Dr Geetika Sen (Konkona Sensharma) and Meera (Pratibha Ranta), a married lesbian couple in a loving relationship who are planning to adopt a baby. However, the foundation of their relationship becomes unstable after the doctor gets accused of being a “sexual predator.” Will they fight the allegations together, or will it completely ruin their lives, forms the crux of the story.

As soon as the trailer dropped, fans took to their social media handles to express their excitement. One wrote, “I’m so excited and thrilled that mainstream productions are finally interested in queer storytelling. And what can I say about these gem actresses? They’re always perfect in every role they take on.” Another wrote, “Looks AMAZING! Konkona and Pratibhaa, what a delight.” One stated, “I AM SO SO READY.”
Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment Production, Accused is all set to release on Netflix. The movie will stream on the streaming giant from February 27, 2026. Starring Konkona Sensharma and Pratibha Ranta, the announcement of the movie has left netizens impressed over the upcoming movie, as they called it a “sapphic win.”
