India is all set to celebrate its 77th Republic Day on January 26, 2026. The much-anticipated event will host elaborate parades, cultural displays, and a showcase of India’s defence capabilities. It often attracts thousands of spectators, both in person and via live broadcasting and streaming. For those who don’t know, the annual parade will be held at the Kartavya Path, New Delhi, and will conclude with a Beating Retreat ceremony at Vijay Chowk.
Event Schedule:
According to an NDTV report, the parade and beating retreat schedule will start on January 26, 2026 and end on January 29, 2026. On the first day of the event Republic Day Parade will be held, where the Main Republic Day celebration will take place with military march-past, tableaux and other performances. On Jan 28, a full dress rehearsal-beating retreat event will take place. The event will see a final rehearsal of the closing ceremony. Jan 29 will mark the formal end to the Republic Day festivities with bands and ceremonial music.

Offline & Online Ticket Booking:
Tickets for all the Republic Day 2026 events have been made available from January 5, 2026, till January 14th, 2026. It is to be noted that the booking window for booking the tickets of the events might be available until daily quotas are exhausted. As per the media publication, the Republic Day Parade is priced at Rs 20 and Rs 100. The Full Dress Rehearsal event is priced at Rs 20, and the Beating Retreat ceremony is priced at Rs 100.
If you want to book your tickets online, it can be done through the official Aamantran portal at aamantran.mod.gov.in or even its app. The bookings begin at 9:00 am every day until the quota is filled. Valid government photo ID, like the Aadhar Card, must be used at the entry.
On the other hand, if you want to book the tickets offline, it can be done in Delhi, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at various locations like Sena Bhawan, Shastri Bhawan, Jantar Mantar, Parliament House reception, Rajiv Chowk, and Kashmereu Gate
Live Streaming Republic Day 2026 Events:
For those who won’t be able to attend the event and wish to see it live, you can watch it on Doordarshan’s YouTube channel as well as on All India Radio. Both platforms will live-stream the event with professional commentary and sign language support. Apart from that, the parade will also be broadcast live on the Press Information Bureau’s (PIB) YouTube channel. It will also be broadcast on television news channels.
