The wait is finally over! FirstKhaotung fans are currently over the moon as the BL couple’s much-awaited show Cat For Cash is all set to stream on YouTube from January 20, 2026. On Monday afternoon, GMMTV took to their official social media handles to announce that they will be releasing the trailer of the series the same day. Well, the trailer has finally been released, and it is safe to say that it has taken the internet by storm.
Directed by Au Kornprom Niyomsil, Cat For Cash stars First Kanaphan Puitrakul, Khaotung Thanawat Ratanakitpaisan, Satang Kittiphop Sereevichayasawat, Great Sapol Assawamunkong, JJ Chayakorn Jutamas, and Fresh Arisara Wongchalee. Sharing the three-minute 51-second trailer on all social media platforms, the actors, as well as the official X (formerly known as Twitter) account of the show, shared glimpses of it for the fans to enjoy.
The trailer of Cat For Cash starts with Lynx (Khaotung’s character) caressing a cat and welcoming a guest, who turns out to be Tiger (First’s character), who is a debt collector. It is shown that Lynx’s mother (played by Fresh) owed Tiger money and passed away before completely paying him back. It is then revealed that moments before dying, Lynx’s mother passes on her secret power of hearing the cats over to Tiger. In order to get his money back, Tiger starts helping Lynx run the cafe. While the pair works together to run the cafe and falls in love during the process, they face challenges together, including Lynx’s frying bond with his late mother and a brother, Leo (Satang’s character), he never knew about.

Announced during the GMMTV2025 event, the show was like a breath of fresh air in the midst of all the high school and university dramas. Fans had been eagerly waiting for an announcement about the show’s airing ever since the team wrapped up shooting last year.
As soon as the trailer dropped, netizens took to their official social media handles to gush about it and theorise what will happen in the show based on the glimpses seen in the trailer.
We are extremely excited to watch the show, as Cat For Cash is FirstKhaotung’s first show where they won’t be sharing the screenspace with other BL couples, like in their previous projects, so all the attention will be on them. Just like the rest of their previous projects, this one too seems to be very emotionally heavy, while it includes fantasy and comedy elements.
