Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man Teaser Review: Cillian Murphy Makes A Powerful Return As Tommy Shelby



Academy Award-winning actor Cillian Murphy enjoys a huge fanbase all over the world. He is all set to return as his beloved character, Tommy Shelby, from his hit British historical crime drama Peaky Blinders. On Wednesday evening, the makers of the show unveiled the teaser of an upcoming film, Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, which will take Sheby’s story forward.

Sharing the teaser on their official social media handle, Netflix wrote, “Whatever happened to Tommy Shelby? Cillian Murphy stars in PEAKY BLINDERS: THE IMMORTAL MAN. In select theaters March 6, on Netflix March 20.”

For those who don’t know, the actor will be returning as Shelby four years after the last season of the series premiered on Netflix. Opening up his return to the franchise, back in June 2024, Murphy said, “It seems like Tommy Shelby wasn’t finished with me…It is very gratifying to be re-collaborating with Steven Knight and Tom Harper on the film version of ‘Peaky Blinders.’ This is one for the fans.”

In the one-minute 10-second action-packed teaser, the audience is given a glimpse of Shelby returning after the traumatic events of the past years.

Apart from the actor, Sophie Rundle will also reprise her role of Ada Thorne, Tommy’s sister, along with Stephen Graham and Ned Dennehy as his family allies Hayden Stagg and Charlie Strong. Apart from them, a few new faces will also be seen in the film, including Rebecca Ferguson, Barry Keoghan, Tim Roth and Jay Lycurgo.

Helmed by Tom Harper, Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man will release in select theatres on March 6, 2026 and on Netflix from March 20, 2026. It was created by British screenwriter Steven Knight.
