Kimpton to Debut Desert Resort in Scottsdale’s Paradise Valley

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is expanding its luxury footprint in the American Southwest with plans for a new resort in one of Arizona’s most coveted enclaves. The Kimpton Miralina Resort & Villas, opening in early 2026, will mark the brand’s first luxury and lifestyle property in the Paradise Valley and Scottsdale market and a fresh take on desert hospitality.

Set on 42 acres framed by Camelback and Mummy Mountains, the resort will reimagine an existing property into a design-forward retreat that embraces the desert’s serene beauty. The 400-room resort—featuring guest rooms, suites, and villas—will include more than 50,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space, balancing business with leisure in quintessential Kimpton style.

“Kimpton’s rich legacy and unique approach to luxury lifestyle are a natural fit for suburban Phoenix, which remains one of the fastest growing U.S. metropolitan areas and a haven for both business meetings and travelers seeking connection with the beautiful surroundings,” said Leanne Harwood, SVP, managing director, luxury, lifestyle & managed hotels, IHG Hotels & Resorts, in a statement. “Through its contemporary design, breathtaking views, and what will become exemplary culinary destinations, Kimpton Miralina Resort & Villas will bring forth the best of what our luxury and lifestyle brands and dedicated segment leadership team have to offer.”

Guests can expect Kimpton’s signature blend of warmth and sophistication, with offerings like six swimming pools and a full-service spa and salon to complimentary bike rentals, in-room yoga mats and the brand’s beloved morning “Kickstart” coffee and evening Social Hour rituals.

Developed in partnership with lifestyle hospitality group sbe, the property will feature four distinct dining and bar venues, including a modern, approachable restaurant helmed by a yet-to-be-named celebrated chef.

The resort will be jointly owned by Partners Group and Trinity Investments, with Highgate managing the property. Kimpton Miralina Resort & Villas joins the brand’s growing global pipeline of nearly 150 open and upcoming hotels, including soon-to-debut locations in Napa Valley, Pacific Grove, New York City and Kaua‘i.
