Starlux Airlines has been awarded the “2026 Five Star Global Airline” designation by the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX), a globally renowned organization dedicated to evaluating passenger experience. This distinction marks an important milestone for the Taiwan-based luxury carrier’s ascent to global prominence. The award was presented at the 2026 APEX Awards Ceremony at the Long Beach Convention Center in California, with Jessica Lin, director of airport operations representative, accepting on behalf of the airline.
This recognition follows Starlux’s earlier achievement this year as a Skytrax Five-Star Airline. Just last year, Starlux earned its first APEX “Five Star Major Airline” distinction. With its expanding route network and growing scale of operations, the airline has earned even greater recognition from travelers worldwide. Starlux’s status is elevated to “Five Star Global Airline” category—an accolade reserved for carriers with truly international impact and excellence.
The APEX Five Star and APEX Four Star Airline Awards stand as the only global awards entirely based on neutral, third-party passenger feedback and insights. This year, over one million PNR verified flights have been rated by passengers spanning over 600 airlines from around the world using a five-star scale. Only 40 airlines worldwide received the prestigious Five Star award, representing less than 7 percent of the airlines rated worldwide.
This dual recognition from both Skytrax and APEX highlights Starlux’s consistent service. As Starlux expands its fleet and route network, the carrier remains committed to upholding the highest standards of service and safety, while continuing to deliver an elevated passenger experience.
