Xiaomi has turned 15, and it’s celebrating in true tech style, with the launch of its most powerful tablet yet, the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra. Revealed alongside the Xiaomi 15S Pro, this is the company’s first Ultra-grade tablet, and it’s built to impress.
Right off the bat, the Pad 7 Ultra makes a strong impression. It’s slim at just 5.1mm, light at 609 grams, and crafted from a high-strength aluminum alloy that makes it 18% more durable than earlier models. The design isn’t just sleek, it’s smart. The 14-inch 3.2K OLED screen is designed for work and play, with a buttery-smooth 120Hz refresh rate, an ultra-bright 1600 nits peak brightness, and a cinematic 93.6% screen-to-body ratio. The 3:2 aspect ratio is perfect for reading and productivity.
If you’re someone who reads a lot or writes on-screen, Xiaomi has something special: a Nano Soft Light Screen version. This reduces glare by 99% and reflectivity by 70%, offering a paper-like experience that’s easier on the eyes. And yes, the display checks all the right boxes, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR Vivid, and TÜV Rheinland-certified for low blue light and flicker-free viewing.

Under the hood, Xiaomi has gone all in. The XRING 01 processor, built on a 3nm process, combines a 10-core CPU, a 16-core Immortalis-G925 GPU, and a 6-core NPU. Translation: blazing-fast performance, incredible graphics, and smart AI features. It handles video editing 27.5% faster, exports images 51.3% quicker, and hits 119.3fps in MOBA games. Multitasking is smoother than ever, up to 49% better, in fact.
Powering it all is a massive 12,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging, enough for nearly 17 hours of video playback. And thanks to a vapor chamber cooling system, the tablet stays cool even when you push it hard. It also features Wi-Fi 7, improved NFC for tough signal spots, and even an infrared blaster to control home appliances.
Cameras? Covered. You get a 50MP rear sensor, a 32MP front camera, and an eight-speaker setup tuned for Dolby Atmos and DTS\:X, perfect for video calls, streaming, or just jamming to music.
On the software front, the tablet runs on HyperOS 2, loaded with AI tools that can write, summarize, edit, and transcribe. It supports 145 file types, including complex ones like 3D models and Photoshop files. It even syncs effortlessly with PCs and Apple devices and can serve as a wireless second screen.
Xiaomi also offers some neat accessories: a Floating Keyboard with a pressure-sensitive trackpad, and a Focus Touch Pen with 8192 pressure levels and a virtual laser pointer feature.
The Pad 7 Ultra comes in Misty Purple and Classic Black, with prices starting at 5699 yuan (approx. $791 or Rs. 68,055) and going up to 7399 yuan ($1027 or Rs. 88,360) for the high-end variant with the Nano Soft Light display.
