Designed and developed by Polish inventor and entrepreneur Tomasz Patan, the Airbike, a hoverbike from the house of Volonaut, has taken the internet by storm.
A demo video of the flying bike has amused the internet. Once only seen on the silver screen in sci-fi movies, the hoverbike is now out in the real world. Per the Volonaut portal, the “superbike for the skies” is integrated with a jet propulsion and a proprietary stabilization system, which is enhanced by a flight computer. Designed to carry one pilot, the Volonaut Airbike has a top speed of 200 km/h! Unlike most prototype flying bikes, the Airbike does not bear spinning propellers and thereby can maneuver across a range of places.
Taking to X/Twitter with a demo, Tomasz Patan, who is also the founder of Jetson, remarked
This futuristic vehicle is a realization of a bold concept often portrayed in science fiction movies – a long-time inspiration of mine that, with time, became an obsession.
Thrilled to share a sample of what I have been working on in “stealth” mode.

Reactions poured in with some initial skepticism and lot more appreciation for the Airbike. “Imagine showing up with this in the 1700s lol,” jibed one. Another user remarked, “Now we’re getting closer to the Jetson’s world I expected when I was a kid.” A few sekptics could not believe if the demo was real or manipkated. One commented, “Faaaaaaaake… The amount of thrust to hold up JUST the person would have those trees/bushes looking like a hurricane was blasting them. So either it’s totally fake or there’s some support that’s been edited out.” Another asked, “and the means of propulsion is … magic?” Yet another was curious. “Sorry but I have to ask. Is this a.i. Generated?”
“That would be a great Christmas present,” remarked one user. Another wrote, “That is so sick.”
The rest of the internet erupted in Dune and Star War memes
