After almost becoming obsolete amidst some controversies, the award season is in full swing. We are a day away from the 94th Academy Awards. The ceremony will take place in Los Angeles at the Dolby Theatre and will be hosted for the first time by Regina Hall. Amy Schumer and Wanda Sykes. The 2022 Oscars will retain some of the normalcy after last year’s hybrid event. With the Academy up for a course correction, the list of nominations includes some of the greatest films of the year, raising the competition in the Best Picture category in particular. Among the nominees, The Power of the Dog starring Benedict Cumberbatch leads the way with 12 nods while Dune featuring Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya and more follows close behind with 10. Nods went out to CODA, Belfast, Drive My Car, King Richard, Licorice Pizza, Don’t Look Up, Nightmare Alley and more critically acclaimed hits as well.

Oscars 2022 will take place in the U.S. on March 27 (8 PM EDT and 5 PM PDT) and air on ABC. In India the ceremony will be available to watch in the early hours of Monday, March 28, around 5 AM IST. The event will officially stream online on Disney+ Hotstar.

The event will also be broadcast in India on Star’s channels – Star World, Star Movies and Star Movies HD so you can catch the big night (or day) on TV as well.
The list of presenters at the 2022 Oscars includes Lady Gaga, Lily James, Youn Yuh-jung, Uma Thurman, Zoë Kravitz, Rachel Zegler and more.
