WWE Stars Including John Cena, Send Diwali Greetings For Indian Fans, But The Desi Internet Can’t See It



A bunch of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) superstars came together to wish their Indian fans around the world a warm ‘Happy Diwali.’ CM Punk, AJ Styles, Drew McIntyre, Joaquin Wilde, Stephanie Vaquer, Lexi Cabrera, Tiffany Stratton, Jade Cargill, Lina Fanene, and Charlotte Flair shot a video greeting for the WWE Ki Diwali campaign.

John Cena too joined the squad as he wished Happy Diwali. The 17-time world champion and Peacemaker (2002-2025) star shared Diwali wishes on X for the Cenation. Cena wrote, “Wishing a happy Diwali to everyone around the world.” However, the fans complained of not being able to see him in the Diwali greetings. IYKYK.

The internet, meanwhile, also wished their favorite stars a very happy Diwali, while others shared their grievances, along with memes. One user asked, “Where is the legend? Undertaker?” A user requested, “Need wishes from Roman Reigns.” Several other users too demanded “a Diwali wish from the Tribal Chief.” Yet another user made a mockery of the WWE sportsperson’s pronunciation of the word Diwali: “It’s दिवाली, not डिवाली!” Meanwhile, a skeptical user quipped, “Hope this is not AI generated.”

Here are some other Diwali wishes from global leaders and icons. “Happy Diwali! May the light prevail over darkness,” wrote former presidential hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy. While POTUS’s message on Diwali was conveyed by press secretary Karoline Leavitt. “Presidential Message on Diwali: “To every American celebrating Diwali, may this observance bring abiding serenity, prosperity, hope, and peace.”

Obama’s foundation tweeted, “Wishing a bright and joyful Diwali to all who celebrate! In 2009, President Obama lit the first diya at the White House—honoring a tradition that reminds us light always triumphs over darkness.”

California governor Gavin Newsom, in his tweet, wrote, “Happy Diwali, California! Today, we celebrate the Festival of Lights—the spiritual victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. Wishing all who celebrate a year filled with peace and unity.”

FBI director Kash Patel remarked, “Happy Diwali. celebrating the Festival of Lights around the world, as good triumphs over evil.”

Arsenal wished its fans in India, “Wishing all our supporters celebrating a very happy and prosperous Diwali.” So did other clubs, including FC Bayern, “FC Bayern – 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙁𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙖𝙡 𝙤𝙛 𝙇𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙨. Happy Diwali to all those celebrating around the World!
