‘Will Expose Each Person’: Suniel Shetty Claims Son Ahan Lost Out On Many Opportunities Due To ‘Ego Of Others’

Over the years, Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty has made a name for himself in the entertainment industry for his versatile performances. He never shies away from expressing his feelings and talking about what he has been through during media interviews. He recently opened up about his son Ahan Shetty’s career, which came to a standstill after he made his debut with Tadap (2021). The film starred Tara Sutaria in the lead role. Currently busy shooting for Border 2, the senior actor revealed that he had been removed from two movie projects.

Opening up about the same during a conversation with Zoom, he revealed that Ahan convinced him to treat Border 2 as a defining project of his career. Shetty shared that, as per his belief, the film will hold a lasting value as it has the potential to be revisited by audiences every year, especially during national holidays like Independence Day and Republic Day. He went on to add that his son was approached for several projects, but decided to do Border 2, out of genuine patriotism, which didn’t go down well with a few people.

Quoted by News18, the 63-year-old actor recalled, “Ahan let go of a lot of opportunities because of this film; he missed out on a lot because of the ego of others. He was thrown out of those films, and he was blamed for it in the press. They said he has a 10-person entourage; people paid lots of money to get negative articles written about him. Do you think I don’t have connections? Do you think I can’t do the same thing?”

The Dhadkan actor went on to add that he still pays for his food and spends his own money rather than taking it from a producer. It is exactly the way he has raised his son to be. He threatened to expose the people who are trying to tarnish his son’s career.

“All this negativity was orchestrated because Ahan wanted to do Border 2, and some people wanted their films to succeed instead of Border 2. If this continues, I will hold a press conference and expose each and every person involved. Jiski dhajjiyan udani hain, uda dunga. That child’s obsession is Border,” he concluded.
