Ashneer Grover, who was recently seen on SonyLIV’s reality show ‘Shark Tank India’, recently resigned from the position of Managing Director from his co-founded fintech firm BharatPe. Grover’s resignation comes days after his wife, Madhuri Jain, was fired from the company for misappropriation of company funds and the rejection of his emergency relief application by the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC).
While the internet is flooded with posts related to Grover’s resignation, a throwback video of him criticising a ‘Shark Tank India’ contestant has resurfaced and is making rounds on the internet. Known for his fiery attitude on the reality show, Grover’s harsh words stunned the contestant as well as the other judges present on the show. At one point, we can even see co-judge Vineeta Singh getting up from her seat and calming Grover in the viral video.

The desi-version of ‘Shark India’ which premiered in December last year gave an opportunity to young entrepreneurs to pitch their ideas and a trio, who started a fruit selling business, Falhari, took the centre stage and presented their idea. While Aman Gupta and Vineeta seemed pretty impressed with the idea, Grover’s fiery comments like ‘tum sab apni zindagi barbaad kar rahe ho’, ‘tu band kar de’ and ‘tune kya ukhaada hai’ left everyone stunned.

While heated conversations were a part of the show, Grover, whose memes took over the internet earlier this year, earned a reputation of being one of the most difficult judges to impress on ‘Shark Tank India’.
Apart from Grover, Vineeta and Aman, successful entrepreneurs like Ghazal Alagh, Peyush Bansal, Namita Thapar and Anupam Mittal were also a part of ‘Shark Tank India’s judges’ panel.
