Wamiqa Gabbi Wants To ‘Steal’ Karan Johar’s Support from Alia Bhatt; Fans React, Say, ‘Has More Guts Than Nepo’

Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar proudly owns the title of being the flagbearer of nepotism in the Hindi entertainment industry. He has helped launch many star kids, out of whom he shares a very close relationship with Alia Bhatt, who made her debut with Student Of The Year, alongside Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra. Having a strong support system has helped her grow in her career and establish herself as a credible actor. Now, actress Wamiqa Gabbi, who is making a place for herself in the film industry, has expressed her desire the “steal” the filmmaker from the actress.

While talking to Nayandeep Rakshit, when asked what she would like to steal from Alia, Wamiqa was quick to reply, “Karan Johar.” Explaining her viewpoint, she stated that he has been her biggest support in the industry. Quoted by Hindustan Times, she said, “Because he has been her biggest supporter, and I think to have someone that powerful, talented and in that position — and to have that love that you share with that person, to have that person in your life — isn’t that a beautiful thing?”

Further, during the interview, she shared that she would like to steal Ananya Panday’s skin, Keerthy Suresh’s humility, Varun Dhawan’s energy, Shah Rukh Khan’s legacy, and Kriti Sanon’s height.

Well, a part of her interview has now gone viral on many social media platforms, reminding netizens of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s past comments on Alia and Karan’s bond. Many have lauded the actress for being gutsy enough to voice it out. One wrote, “Ash ki beti Wamiqa has more guts than nepo chaplus.” Another one wrote, “Aishwarya, Kangana, Kriti, and now Wamiqa! Alia keeps getting exposed!” One said, “It’s absolutely true though. Alia would’ve been launched by the Bhatts if not for KJo. She wouldn’t have her current career without his constant lobbying and support.”

For those who don’t remember, sharing her take on Karan’s support for Alia, Bachchan had told Bollywood Hungama, “I’ve said this to her also — it’s fantastic for you, the kind of support Karan has given to her from the beginning. To have that kind of establishment with you is very comforting. It’s not tough to have it laid out for you for the longest time.”

On the work front, last seen in Rajkummar Rao starrer Bhool Chuk Maaf, Wamiqa Gabbi will be next seen in Bhooth Bangla, Dil Ka Darwaaza Khol Na Darling, and G2. She also has Tamil films Genie and Iravaakaalam, a Punjabi film Kikli and a Malayalam film Tiki Taka in her pipeline. She will reportedly also be seen in the web series Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom.
