Hilton has announced the signing of Waldorf Astoria Scarlet Bay following a management agreement with Royal Group Holding. Set to welcome guests in 2029, it marks the brand’s first property in Greece, joining Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts properties in nearly 20 countries worldwide.

Located on the Peloponnese—a historically rich peninsula in southern Greece known for its rugged mountains, stunning beaches and delicious cuisine—as well as being the home of Ancient Olympia, birthplace of the Olympic Games and where the Olympic torch is still lit today. The new Waldorf Astoria resort will cater to guests seeking unforgettable experiences with elegant service, including a personal concierge to attend to every detail, ensuring they can create memories to last a lifetime.

Dan Wakeling, vice president, development, luxury & residences, EMEA, Hilton, said, “We’re thrilled to be announcing our first Waldorf Astoria hotel in Greece—a destination that perfectly complements the brand’s legacy of timeless elegance and refined luxury. This debut marks a significant milestone for Hilton as we continue to rapidly expand our presence across Greece, where we now have more than 60 hotels trading and pipeline under eight brands and through Hilton’s partnership with SLH. Known for its rich cultural heritage, natural beauty, fantastic food and welcoming people, Greece is a world class destination, and we’re excited to be further building our portfolio here with this stunning luxury hotel.”

Waldorf Astoria Scarlet Bay will feature 121 guestrooms and suites, all with stunning sea views. The property will also offer branded residences across 13 villas.

F&B options at Waldorf Astoria Scarlet Bay will include a signature restaurant, beach club restaurant, lobby lounge, coffee shop and Peacock Alley.

Guests can enjoy a range of wellness experiences at the Waldorf Astoria spa. Additional facilities include indoor and outdoor pools, with the main pool offering views of the sea and the coastline towards the island of Spetses.
