Donald Trump Jr, the 47th president of the United States has reiterated his vow from May to slap 100% on movies made outside of the country. In his latest Truth Social post, the billionaire Republican remarked,

Our movie making business has been stolen from the United States of America, by other Countries, just like stealing “candy from a baby.”

He further slammed the governor of California Gavin Newsom for the current state of Hollywood,

California, with its weak and incompetent Governor, has been particularly hard hit!

Trump added,

Therefore, in order to solve this long time, never ending problem, I will be imposing a 100% Tariff on any and all movies that are made outside of the United States.

He wrapped up his post in his cliched closure.

Reactions poured in with one user dubbing Trump;s statement as “Ba****ds of Hollywood.” Another user remarked, “Somebody tell him movies aren’t shipped in shipping containers anymore.” A third user wrote, “He should also impose 100% tariffs on the MAGA Caps made outside the US.” Yet another user quipped, “Soon Trump will impose a 100% tariff on air coming from outside the boundaries of the USA country.”

A fifth user jibed, “Very soon, he will tariff all non-citizens in the USA who breathe US Air. It will be called UAT (US Air Tariff). And then no one will come to US nor do any business with US.”

Another netizen commented, “Walls don’t work in art, Mr. Trump.”
