Tommy Hilfiger celebrates 20 years in India, launches sailing line



Celebrating two decades of iconic presence in India, fashion legend Tommy Hilfiger visited Mumbai last week, marking a day filled with style, culture and glamour. The visit reaffirmed the brand’s deep connection with the Indian market—one of the world’s fastest-growing fashion destinations.

The day kicked off with Hilfiger’s appearance at the Tommy Hilfiger store in Jio World Drive, Bandra Kurla Complex. Here, he joined a panel discussion on global fashion and cultural exchange, moderated by actor and host Sarah-Jane Dias and Bollywood star and model Manushi Chhillar. The discussion celebrated the convergence of Indian and American style sensibilities.

In the evening, Hilfiger hosted an exclusive dinner at the historic Taj Mahal Palace Hotel. The event gathered leading voices from India’s cultural and fashion spheres, including Karan Johar, Sara Ali Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Shikhar Dhawan, against the stunning backdrop of the Arabian Sea and Gateway of India, the brand said in a press release.

The occasion also featured the launch of a limited-edition sailing collection, celebrated with a sailing event at the Mumbai Yacht Club, highlighting the brand’s vibrant, adventurous spirit.

Arvind Ltd’s vice chairman Kulin Labhai reflected on the 20-year journey with Tommy Hilfiger, describing it as a relationship rooted in trust and mutual growth. He credited the brand’s sustained popularity to Hilfiger’s enduring vision and cultural relevance.
