Posting snippets of his recent venture in the valley with family, Shaadi Dot Com’s Anupam Mittal compared the expenses of a foreign trip with a domestic one. The shark at Shark Tank India, a business reality show, quipped on X/Twitter.
Luxury trip to Switzerland – 10 lacs. Similar trip to Kashmir—2 lacs. Infinite beauty in your own country—priceless.
Along with the tweet, Mittal shared pictures of a cruise on Dal Lake with his spouse and daughter. He also shared glimpses from the staycation in the valley.

While netizens praised and others invited him to visit equally beautiful Northeast Indian states like Manipur, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, etc., a handful decided to troll the entrepreneur. Reminding of the recent massacre of tourists by terrorists in Pahalgam that led to Operation Sindoo, one user jibed,
“Sir but Switzerland me religion puch ke goli nahi marte.”
(Sir but they don’t shoot people in Switzerland asking their religion).
Responding to the netizen, Mittal suggested to him to mind their attitude and support the nation without getting negative. He quipped,
Thodi tameez rakho bhai … it’s time to support your country.”
When another troll countered, saying, “What’s wrong with what he said? Neither they disrespect the country or national emblem,” Anupam Mittal defended the people of Kashmir, stating,
This is not true of the people of Kashmir. Jaa kar dekho, phir bolo.”
In a follow-up response to another tweet, the angel investor remarked,
Kashmir is as safe as can be and if you want to do a service for those who sacrificed their lives, go visit and don’t let the terrorists succeed in their plan.
Claiming that he rejected the security offered during the visit, Mittal added,
Fear mongering is easy

Was offered security but did not accept it. And took my family along. Kashmir is as safe as can be and if u want to do a service for those who sacrificed their lives, go visit and don’t let the terrorists succeed in their plan. Fear mongering is easy
