Bollywood actor Tara Sutaria has unveiled her first look poster from the upcoming film Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups, in which she plays a character named Rebecca. Sharing the poster on Saturday, Sutaria offered fans a glimpse of her powerful new role in the film, which is headlined by Yash. The much-anticipated film is slated to release in theatres on March 19, 2026.
Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups, directed by Geetu Mohandas of Moothon and Liar’s Dice fame, is produced by VN Productions and Monster Mind Creations. The film stars Yash in the lead and features Tara Sutaria, Kiara Advani and Huma Qureshi in pivotal roles. Notably, Toxic is India’s first film to be simultaneously shot in English and Kannada.

Tara Sutaria shared her first look poster on Instagram, introducing herself as Rebecca. The image shows her in an off-shoulder dress, holding a revolver, signalling a fierce and commanding presence. “Introducing Tara Sutaria as REBECCA in – A ‘Toxic Fairy Tale For Grown-Ups’,” read the caption, instantly drawing attention to her striking transformation.
Speaking about casting Tara, director Geetu Mohandas shared a deeply personal note, saying, “I’ve always felt an instinctive love to protect Tara. Perhaps because she is a guarded soul or perhaps it’s the armour she’s comfortable with.” She added that giving Tara space rather than pushing her shaped a calm and deeply professional working relationship. “She observed more than she spoke. She listened more than she revealed,” Mohandas said, describing the actor’s quiet intensity.
Mohandas further revealed that Tara’s performance exceeded expectations, stating, “When she finally stepped into her performance, what emerged was nothing short of breathtaking.” The film marks Yash’s first project since KGF: Chapter 2, with Tara’s character Rebecca described as fragile yet powerful, wielding guns “as her birthright” and poised to break her long-held ‘pretty girl’ image in this action-thriller.
