Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) unveiled the new First and Business Class seats of its “SWISS Senses” cabin concept at Zurich Airport. The new cabin concept will feature onboard the company’s new Airbus A350-900s, starting autumn 2025.
The Airbus A350-900 will be the first aircraft in the SWISS long-haul fleet to be equipped with the new SWISS Senses cabin. Set to be delivered this October, the first of the new Airbus A350-900 aircraft will initially be deployed on European routes. The first SWISS long-haul destination to receive Airbus A350 service will be Boston, from this winter onwards. The airline has already opened bookings for A350-operated flights from January 1, 2026.
SWISS Senses represents a total redesign of the entire aircraft cabin. The SWISS First cabin and parts of SWISS Business also feature the first-ever use of suite seating arrangements. A key visual feature of the new SWISS Senses cabin is the use of human-centric lighting, which will help travelers better cope with jet lag. A new state-of-the-art in-flight entertainment system with larger screens and the option of connecting personal devices will also be provided in all seating classes.
SWISS First
The new SWISS First suites offer total privacy with sliding doors, a spacious personal wardrobe, a large seat table, seat heating and cooling, a wireless charging station and a screen display that is as wide as the suite itself. The cabin’s center suite can also be configured to suit two persons traveling together.
A spacious new washroom has also been developed for the new SWISS First cabin. It features a slate-black exterior and a green interior.
SWISS Business
The completely redesigned SWISS Business cabin is designed to suit a range of individual needs. In addition to “classic” Business Class seats, the new cabin offers multiple seating configurations. Select seats also feature a sliding door for additional privacy. Offering direct aisle access, all seats are designed to convert into a lie-flat bed with a length of 6.5–7.2 feet. In addition, all seats offer seat heating and cooling functions as well as a wireless charging station.
SWISS Premium Economy
The highly popular SWISS Premium Economy Class with its greater seat comfort and superior cabin service will remain an integral feature within the new SWISS Senses air travel experience. With its nearly 3.3-foot pitch, SWISS Premium Economy continues to set industry benchmarks in terms of both its overall comfort and its seating quality.
SWISS Economy
Economy Class travelers can look forward to tangible enhancements with the new SWISS Senses cabin. The comfortable new seats are highly functional and offer extra legroom. Every seat also features a 13-inch high-resolution screen, USB ports and Bluetooth connectivity for travelers’ headphones.
All new Airbus A350-900s will feature the new SWISS Senses cabin concept, which will be gradually rolled out to the airline’s existing Airbus A330-300 and Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
