SLS Baha Mar has announced the appointment of Adam Marcy as director of sales, overseeing the resort’s group, catering and conference services teams. With nearly two decades of experience across the luxury hospitality and destination management sectors, Marcy brings a fresh and dynamic perspective to one of the Caribbean’s most celebrated luxury destinations.
Marcy joins SLS Baha Mar following his role as vice president of sales and business development at ETHOS Event Collective, where he led strategic sales for seven destination management offices across the U.S. and Caribbean. His career has also included leadership roles with some of the world’s top luxury hospitality brands.
“We are excited to welcome Adam to the SLS Baha Mar family,” said Carsten Wiegandt, general manager of SLS Baha Mar. “His deep expertise across group and catering sales, combined with his strong industry relationships background, will further elevate the experience for planners and clients looking to host high-impact, memorable events at our resort.”
Marcy will lead a high-performing team that has consistently delivered exceptional results. His appointment comes at a pivotal moment as SLS Baha Mar sharpens its focus on group business growth and prepares to host flagship industry events such as SmartMeetings, Caribbean Meeting and Incentive Travel Exchange (CMITE), IMEX America and Financial & Insurance Conference Professionals (FICP).
In November 2024, SLS Baha Mar unveiled 299 redesigned guestrooms, including 107 suites and residences, conceptualized around delivering extraordinary luxury group experiences. Marcy’s appointment is more than a leadership change—it’s a strategic move to elevate the group experience through the lens of lifestyle hospitality. With an extensive background spanning luxury hotel sales and destination management, he brings a rare dual perspective to SLS Baha Mar. His ability to think like a planner while executing like a hotelier makes him uniquely positioned to anticipate needs, craft bespoke experiences and deliver curated and seamless events.
Having worked with globally celebrated brands and high-profile clients, Marcy understands that group business isn’t just about space—it’s about storytelling, service and creating moments that feel anything but expected.
“Joining the SLS Baha Mar team is an exciting next chapter,” said Marcy. “This role brings together everything I love—creative collaboration, curated experiences, and a commitment to delivering more than what’s expected. With my background in both group sales and destination management, I’m excited to create group journeys that feel as bold, stylish, and unforgettable as the brand itself.”
Marcy is a graduate of the University of Florida and will be based out of Central Florida in his new role.
