Shah Rukh Khan’s Advert With Toilet Cleaner Brand Leaves The Internet In Stitches; ‘Recession Is Real’

Shah Rukh Khan is undoubtedly the King of Bollywood and is aptly called the Badshah of the tinsel town. The maverick, however, doesn’t give a flying fudge about his branding. Just like veteran Amitabh Bachchan, SRK doesn’t shy away from appearing for products and services that may not reflect his brand worth. But how have we become such insufferable judges of what a fellow human does to earn to add to their millions in the mansion?

Shah Rukh Khan’s latest collaboration with one of the world’s largest toilet cleaning brands, Harpic, has drawn some criticism and dollops of giggles and chuckles from fans and critics alike. The social media ad shows the Chak De India actor holding one of the toilet cleaning products from the brand’s lineup. Nothing unique here. The copy that follows is what has the netizens in stitches. “The King of Bollywood Joins The King of Toilet Cleaning.” The text’s position makes it even more hilarious. Check below.

Reactions and memes poured in over the SRK-Harpic post. One user jibed, “Aashiq hun mein, kaatil bhi hoon. Sabke toilet mein shaamil bhi hoon.” Another quipped, “Karwa li bezzati?” Yet another user asked in jest, “Mannat maintenance cannot be that high.” One user reminded that it’s recession that is devouring not just the commoners anymore. Several users slammed the poor copywriting of the brand. “Harpic Why do you clean the toilets if you are gonna shit with copywriting like this?” commented one user. Another wrote, “Paise ke liye karna padta hai.
