Seabourn Announces Luxury Sailings for the 2026 Alaska Season

Seabourn Announces Luxury Sailings for the 2026 Alaska Season

Seabourn‘s luxury ship Seabourn Encore will be operating seven- and eight-day voyages in Alaska this summer. The yacht-like ship, sailing between Vancouver and Juneau, will give travelers a chance to journey through Alaska’s glaciers, fjords, and remote coastal communities rarely visited by larger ships.

Seabourn said it is offering more visits to Glacier Bay National Park than any other luxury line, as well as more cruises along the region’s true Inside Passage. Its voyages blend luxury with immersive exploration. In addition, glacier viewing is a key attraction when sailing to Alaska, and every Seabourn voyage will feature a glacier experience.

“There is no destination quite like Alaska, and experiencing it up close makes all the difference,” Mark Tamis, president of Seabourn, said in a statement. “Seabourn’s small ships are designed to navigate where larger ships cannot, bringing guests closer to nature while delivering the luxury, exceptional service, and immersive journeys. Each Alaska voyage also features a knowledgeable expedition team and our signature Ventures by Seabourn program.”

Planning an Alaska Cruise in 2026? Here’s What Travelers Should Know

The Best Time to Go

Alaska’s cruise season, from May through September, reveals the region at its most spectacular. Early season sailings showcase snow-capped peaks and active glaciers, while mid-summer offers prime wildlife viewing, including humpback whales and bald eagles. September brings crisp air, autumn hues, and a quieter, more peaceful atmosphere ideal for nature lovers alike.

Why Small Ships Make a Big Difference

Ship size matters in Alaska. Seabourn’s intimate vessels can navigate narrow fjords, secluded waterways, and hidden coves that larger ships cannot access.

Exploration with a Team of Experts

Seabourn’s Alaska voyages are enriched by an expedition team of naturalists, historians, and wilderness experts who guide guests during the line’s optional Ventures by Seabourn kayaking, hiking and Zodiac excursions.

Seabourn balances rugged exploration with luxury. After a day of Zodiac cruising or glacier viewing, guests may toast the moment with champagne on deck, unwind at the spa, or enjoy regionally inspired cuisine.
