During the Bigg Boss 19 Weekend Ka Vaar episode on October 12, 2025, Salman Khan addressed the long-standing rumors about his alleged rift with singer Arijit Singh. He clarified that no real conflict existed between them and described their relationship as friendly, stating that the misunderstanding originated from his side, not Arijit’s.
The issue began at the 2014 Star Guild Awards, where Arijit, fresh off the success of his song Tum Hi Ho, appeared on stage to receive an award. Dressed casually and fatigued from consecutive performances, Arijit was greeted by Salman, who was hosting the event. Salman jokingly remarked, “So gaye the?” Arijit responded lightheartedly, “Aap logon ne sula diya yaar.” The exchange drew laughter from the audience, but it was later perceived as a slight by Salman, fueling speculation of a fallout.

Subsequent rumors claimed Salman had Arijit’s versions of songs removed from films like Kick, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, and Sultan. Notably, Arijit’s rendition of “Jag Ghoomeya” from Sultan was replaced by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s version. In 2016, Arijit addressed the issue by posting a public apology on social media, asking Salman for forgiveness and clarifying that his comment was not meant to offend. The post gained significant attention, with fans encouraging reconciliation, but both parties remained silent on the matter until Salman’s recent comments.
In the Bigg Boss 19 episode, while speaking with comedian Ravi Gupta, Salman clarified, “Arijit aur main bahut achhe dost hai. Woh misunderstanding thi aur woh misunderstanding mere side se huyi thi. Uske baad usne gaane bhi kiye mere liye. Tiger 3 mein kiya usne, agge Galwan mein kar raha hai.” He confirmed that Arijit had sung for his film Tiger 3 and is contributing to his upcoming project, Galwan, dispelling the notion of any ongoing feud.
