Mohit Suri directorial Saiyaara has broken most of the records at the box-office with its exceptional success. Starring debutant Ahaan Panday and Big Girls Don’t Cry fame Aneet Padda, the romantic musical has struck a chord with the current generation. Currently seen as a huge success at the domestic box office, it has surpassed lifetime collections of many recently released films. In the midst of it all, a media report revealed how much the actors were paid for their work in the film.
Mentioning a report by India.com, ETimes stated that big productions like Yash Raj Films, usually pay their debutants between Rs 3 crore to 5 crore. According to the media reports, Aditya Chopra’s production banner has paid Ahaan, more than the leading lady of the film, Aneet. Talking about the director of the film, Mohit has reportedly been paid Rs 6 crore to 8 crore for it.
For those who don’t know, he delivered blockbuster films like Aashiqui 2 and Ek Villian, previously. The media reports further suggested that the movie has been made on a budget of Rs 40 crore to 50 crore. It has managed to earn back the production cost in just three days of its release. As per a report by Sacnilk, the film has raked in Rs 190. 75 crore in eight days and is now inching closer to Rs 200 crore.
Said to be an unofficial adaptation of the South Korean film A Moment To Remember (2004), Saiyaara is a tale of love, heartbreak, and pain, featuring Ahaan Panday as a rising musician Krish Kapoor and Aneet Padda as an innocent lyricist Vaani Batra. Released on July 18, 2025, the film is directed by Mohit Suri. Co-starring Rajesh Kumar, Varun Badola, Shaad Randhawa, and others, the film is produced by YRF.
