Rescued Chinese Cat Xianba Inherits 82-Year-Old Man’s Wealth And Apartment; Twitter Is Jealous (And So Are We)

In today’s episode of the purrfect pyaar for pets, an elderly Chinese man’s affection for his cats by declaring his inheritance has gone viral.

An 82-year-old Chinese man is giving away his entire savings and an apartment to anyone willing to take care of his feline friend. The man who is childless rescued his cat Xianba along with her three kittens in pouring rain years ago. After his wife’s death, the man has been living with his furry friend in the Guangdong province. The man has now appealed for a suitable candidate who will look after his beloved Xianba who is the only surviving of the rescued four.

In a similar incident last year another Chinese elderly woman from Shanghai left her wealth for her pets. Of the $2.5 million inheritance for her pets, she left not a single dime for her children, claiming they did not even care to visit in her old age.

Meanwhile memes and other reactions poured in on X/Twitter. One user quipped. “Someone check if she needs a personal assistant—I’ll apply.” Another user asked, “What? A cat is gonna do with all that money??” A third user jibed, “Weirdos be out here fighting over inheritance Xianba just vibin’ in a gold-plated litter box.” Yet another netizen remarked, “some cats chase mice, Xianba chases generational wealth.”
