Rajasthan Logistics Policy 2025 launched



India’s Rajasthan government recently launched its Logistics Policy 2025 to turn the state into a $350-billion economy by 2030 and cultivate an investment-friendly industrial environment.

The policy was launched by state chief minister Bhajanlal Sharma during seven-day Rajasthan Day celebrations that concluded recently.

The policy will reduce logistics costs and establish Rajasthan as a logistics hub.
It also includes clauses to promote environmental protection, technical upgradation and youth empowerment.

“This policy will reduce logistics costs by encouraging industrial development and increasing connectivity in the state and establish Rajasthan as a logistics hub,” an official release said.

Attractive provisions in the policy include special discounts and grants and capital subsidy of up to 25 per cent of eligible fixed capital investment (EFCI) of ₹50-500 million for ten years for warehouse, silo, cold storage, inland container depot, container freight station, air freight station, cargo terminal and trucker park.

Special concessions will also be offered to investors developing logistics parks in the state. Private multi-model logistics park and integrated logistics park developers will get 7-per cent interest subsidy for seven years, with an annual limit of ₹5 million.

Various other concessions will also be offered in taxes and fees, including 75-per cent discount and 25-per cent recharge on stamp duty, 100-per cent discount on electricity duty for seven years, 75-per cent discount and 25-per cent recharge on conversion of land charges, and cent per cent discount on mandi (wholesale markets) fees for seven years.

Provisions in the policy to empower the youth include 50-per cent reimbursement of the total cost of personnel training (maximum ₹4,000 per worker per month, up to six months) to encourage efficiency and training.

Under technical upgradation, 50 per cent reimbursement up to ₹2,000 per truck on the cost of truck tracking equipment , 50-per cent reimbursement up to ₹2 lakh per installation of logistics management software and one-time reimbursement of 20 per cent (maximum ₹10 lakh) on the cost of fire detection system will also be available.

To ensure maximum logistics facilities in the state, maximum 10 acres, or 10 per cent of allotable land in the upcoming industrial areas of the Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation will be reserved for logistics facilities.

The policy also includes clauses to promote environmental protection.
