Quick TV Ropes In Top TV Actors For Expanding Micro Drama Lineup

Quick TV, the micro-drama platform from ShareChat and Moj, is expanding its reach by bringing established television actors into short-format storytelling.

Well-known names such as Karan Bohra, Hiten Tejwani, Aman Verma, Mouli Ganguly, Ankur Nayar, Piyush Sahdev, and Kishori Shahane are fronting multiple shows that focus on family-centric narratives designed for vertical viewing on mobile devices. The shows, structured in 90–120 second episodes, include Hero No. 1, Aakhiri Raasta, Hamari Adhuri Kahani, Phir Le Aaya Dil, and upcoming titles Sugar Daddy and Mother’s Sacrifice.

The platform’s approach reflects a growing appetite for micro-dramas, particularly in Tier 2 and Tier 3 towns, which make up a majority of its viewership. Quick TV has already surpassed 10 million downloads within three months of launch, with content consumption crossing billions of views each month across the ShareChat network.

The emergence of micro-dramas in India mirrors broader global trends. Markets such as China have already demonstrated the format’s potential, with mobile-first dramas growing into a multi-billion-dollar industry and surpassing traditional box office revenue. In India, the combination of recognisable television actors, accessible storytelling, and short viewing formats is positioning platforms like Quick TV to tap into evolving entertainment habits.

By focusing on brief, vertical-format dramas, Quick TV is establishing itself as a player in the shifting landscape of mobile entertainment. With an expanding catalog and increasing adoption, the platform highlights the transition from traditional prime-time viewing to quick, on-the-go content designed for smartphone audiences.
