Seems like it is raining romance at the box office right now, which the audiences are preferring over action and comedy entertainers. Just like Saiyaara, Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor’s film Param Sundari, too, despite its slow start, has been picking up at the box office. As per the early estimates reported by News18, the movie’s collection has been steady over the weekend.
According to the media publication, the film has collected Rs 9.22 crore on its second day. This brings Param Sundari’s total domestic box office collection to Rs 16.47 crore. For those who don’t know that the movie opened with Rs 7.25 crore on its first day, marking the fifth-biggest opener of Malhotra’s career.
The movie’s collection on Friday was reportedly higher than Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon’s film Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, directed by Laxman Utekar. On Saturday, Param Sundari registered an overall 15.80% occupancy in Hindi belts. The morning shows recorded a 9.67% occupancy, it picked up to 18.03% in the afternoon, and then further increased to 19.70% in the evening.
On the other hand, Delhi-NCR, despite having the maximum shows (1,233), had an occupancy of only 14.50%. In contrast to the same, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad had the strongest turnouts with the highest occupancy levels.
For those who don’t know, directed by Tushar Jalota, of Dasvi fame, Janhvi Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra starrer Param Sundari released on the big screen on August 29, 2025. Set in the Kerala backwaters, the film marks Sidharth and Janhvi’s first collaboration. The film follows the love story between Param Sachadev (Sidharth), an ambitious entrepreneur from Delhi, and Sundari (Janhvi), a homestay owner from Kochi.
On the work front, Sidharth Malhotra will be next seen in the forest folk thriller Vann. Janhvi Kapoor, on the other hand, has Ram Charan starrer Peddi and Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari co-starring Varun Dhawan, Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf, Maniesh Paul, and Akshay Oberoi, in her pipeline.
