If you lapped up the highly addictive episodes of Emily in Paris as soon as they dropped on Netflix, Salut to you because the comedy series led Lily Collins is coming back for Season 3 and 4! Created by Darren Star, the show just released its second instalment on December 22 amidst much debate about its depiction of French people. And now it looks like all the cliches and drama will go on for quite some time.
Netflix, known for cancelling some promising shows after a single season has officially confirmed two new seasons for Emily in Paris. The show follows a marketing executive from Chicago who moves to Paris to work for a luxury marketing firm kickstarting a slew of adventures, friendships and several challenges. A lot went down in Season 2 as Emily made one questionable decision after another. But luckily for those who can’t get enough of it, there’s more.

Fans certainly have divided opinions about the news.

Here’s what to expect from the upcoming episodes of Emily in Paris:
In Season 2, we see Emily travel to Saint-Tropez solo which quickly turns into a girls trip with Mindy (Ashley Park) and Camile (Camile Razat). Now that’s rather awkward since she’s also navigating a love triangle with Gabrielle (Lucas Bravo) and Camile. Meanwhile, as she’s finally learning the French language she befriends a very hot Englishman Alfie (Lucien Laviscount). A romance ensues and they start dating – another love triangle that got fans hooked instantly. By the finale episode, she is distraught to find out that Gabrielle and Camile are back together. Just when she finally decides to tell the former about her true feelings.
On the work front, Emily has a career decision to make. Her American boss shakes things up a little too much at Savoir resulting in what Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu) calls the “French Revolution” as the team heads out the door. After they collectively quit the office, they ask Emily if she wants to join them. This is an exciting idea as it would mean that Emily’s plan to stay in Paris would then become long-term as opposed to the year abroad that it was initially meant to be.
The biggest questions heading into Season 3 is are – Will Emily choose to stay at Savior with her co-workers? And will she end up with Gabrielle or Alfie? Both questions pose impossible choices for Cooper who had only just begun to adjust to her life in Paris. Looks like we’ll find out more when the series returns.
For now, we know that the returning cast will include Collins, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Ashley Park, Lucas Bravo, Camille Razat, Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery, William Abadie and more. Currently, the dates for Emily in Paris Season 3 and 4 haven’t been set.
