Modern Love, Amazon Prime Video’s star-studded series is one of those shows that gets the nuances of dating and being in love in the modern world. And now, it turns out, we’re getting an Indian adaptation of the show. As per reports on Mid-Day, the studio is looking to round up a bunch of great directors for an anthology told through the Indian lens.

As per early reports, Fatima Sana Shaikh (Dangal, Ludo), Pratik Gandhi (Scam:1992) and Wamiqa Gabbi are among the stars attached to feature in the adaptation of Modern Love. A source told the publication, “The anthology series, over its two seasons, has explored love in all its complicated and beautiful forms. The Indian adaptation will be in a similar vein, telling everyday stories about relationships, tugging at your heartstrings with their honesty and simplicity. The stories have been developed by the six directors with their team of writers, and then vetted by Amazon’s writers’ room. Much like the original format, each of the actors will be fronting a segment in the anthology.”

The report also reveals that prolific filmmakers including Vishal Bhardwaj, Hansal Mehta, Alankrita Shrivastava, Anjali Menon, Shonali Bose and Dhruv Sehgal are attached to helm episodes for the upcoming show. It will be interesting to see what each director’s unique style brings to the series.
