Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar has been facing severe allegations of using the weight-loss drug Ozempic. Despite having repeatedly denied the allegations and clarified that he has been battling body dysmorphia for quite some time now, netizens often bring up the topic when his new photos surface on the internet. Well, recently content creator and stand-up comedian Samay Raina posted a photo with him captioning it, “The guy who launched India’s best talent.”

A cropped photo of the filmmaker, who is dressed in oversized grey clothes, was immediately posted on the subreddit Bolly Blinds N Gossip with the headline, “What has happened to KJO?” Netizens and fans alike rushed to the comment section to express their concern over Karan’s health.

One commented, “He’s shrinking and aging faster than expected. Just look at Ram Kapoor after his sudden weight loss, his face looks drained and shriveled, almost like he’s been soaked in water for days.” Another commented, “I don’t know if he is on ozempic or not but anti obesity drugs got approval in India(Wegovy,mounjaro ) and is going to be rampant in next few years. I hope we get credible research on long term effects or side effects of such drug usage to prevent its abuse for purely cosmetic reasons.” One said, “Lifelong body dysmorphia and then the sudden advent of new age medicines. Opening up about the chatter around him using Ozempic to lose weight, Karan expressed on Raj Shamani’s podcast, “I’ve always been battling the bulge. I’ve been on about a thousands diets, I’ve done 500 kinds of workouts. For some reason, I was never able to lose weight. The needle simply wouldn’t move. I discovered that I had an underlying thyroid condition, and this was affecting my weight. People keep saying I’m on Ozempic, and I’m tired of it. You don’t know my truth, and I’m not interested in telling you my truth.”
