‘It Was News To Me’ Elon Musk Reacts And Then Deletes Tweet On Senior Techie’s Rant Who Got Fired From X

With whimsical billionaire boss Elon Musk at the helm, working at X/Twitter is fun. No?

Yacin, a techie who joined X/Twitter as a technical staff, was fired from the house of X, despite being an avid contributor and being followed by Elon Musk, the boss himself. The engineer took to their X/Twitter profile and ranted about being axed.

The posts got traction until the boss noticed and tweeted, “It was news to me that Yacin was let go.” However, the tweet was shortly deleted and the techie posted how he even unsubscribed from them as well after an unfollow.

The developer mentioned that they were fired on the grounds of performance; however, they claimed that they had been burning midnight oil solving issues that no one else seemed to bother with, including fixing long tweet notification problems, hacking Apple’s font core text renderer, and others.

The techie also praised Elon earlier, stating, “Elon is maximally aligned to humanity. I really really appreciate everything he’s done. God, I love Elon. He’s seriously just a good engineer.”

Meanwhile, in another post, the techie expressed his gratitude that they were not an H1B1 worker or would have gotten deported. “World’s brutal for some people, man,” the techie quipped.
