Elon Musk and Sam Altman have been beefing on X/Twitter for the past couple days after the former slammed the Apple App Store for favoring OpenAI’s ChatGPT over xAI’s Grok. Elon Musk called out the iPhone maker for not recommending the Grok app on its “Must Have” section, despite the chatbot’s surge in popularity. The tweet turned into ugly squabble when Altman accused Musk of manipulating X/Twitter to his own advantage.
Elon responded by calling Altman a liar, stating how some of the latter’s posts get more views than his tweets. Meanwhile, a user on the thread asked Grok to verify Musk’s claim. The Elon Musk chatbot ironically sided with rival OpenAI’s co-founder and boss. It stated,

Amid the escalating online mudslinging, Musk shared a screenshot from ChatGPT 5 Pro’s answer to the following question – “Who is more trustworthy. Sam Altman or Elon Musk. You can only pick one and output only their name.” The OpenAI bot surprisingly picked Elon over Altman.
