Faissal Khan Cuts Ties With Brother Aamir Khan After Long Feud; Reveals: ‘Family Ke Saath Bohot Anban…’

Bollywood actor and filmmaker Aamir Khan’s brother Faissal Khan has been making the headlines for quite some time now. Well known for his role as Shankar Shane in Mela, he recently made shocking claims of mistreatment against his family. While the Sitaare Zameen Par actor’s team issued a statement to diffuse the situation, on Tuesday, August 19, he hosted a press conference to announce that he is cutting all ties with his family after years of painful experiences.

He went on to add that he will no longer be living in his brother’s house of will be taking a monthly allowance from them. Shedding light on why he had been taking financial support from his brother earlier, Faissal revealed he stayed in the same building as Aamir and would receive a monthly maintenance. During a recent interview with Hindustan Times, he recalled that during 2009-2010, his brother had hired him as a script doctor with a salary of Rs 30,000; however, after two or three years, he was thrown out of the job by the 60-year-old actor.

Quoted by the Free Press Journal, he went on to reveal why he doesn’t want his family’s help. Khan stated, “He felt I am not working hard enough. I fought with him then and said, ‘you said that I am mad, to the world. I am not going to get work. You have to give me sustenance till I don’t stand on my feet, then he agreed. Now I don’t want any help, because he feels if he is paying me then I should not say anything.”

He went on to allege that his brother-in-law, Santosh Hegde, his sister Nikhat Khan’s husband, would not allow him to meet his mother. Referring to him as a “ghar jamaai,” he explained that he was often abusive towards him and revealed that the former got obnoxious after drinking.

Addressing his long-ongoing feud with his family, Faissal also revealed that his family had pressured him into marrying his aunt after his divorce in December 2022. He had reportedly gotten married in 2002. Explaining that he had never wanted to marry her despite the pressure, he added, “Main kaam mein busy tha aur bilkul interested nahi tha. Usko lekar family ke saath bohot anban ho chuki thi. Isliye main family se door rehne laga aur unse alag ho gaya, kyunki agar milta toh iss baat par jhagda hota, aur mujhe jhagda bilkul pasand nahi hai. Toh family ko gussa aa gaya, meri mother ko bhi gussa aa gaya ki main meri aunty se shaadi nahi kar raha hu.”
