Explora Journeys, the luxury lifestyle ocean travel brand of the MSC Group, has unveiled its highly anticipated 2027–2028 Journeys Collection, a global portfolio spanning five continents, nearly 200 destinations, and close to 100 itineraries. Running from September 2027 through May 2028, the season is defined by two major milestones: the brand’s debut in Asia and the launch of its fifth ship, Explora V.

Alongside the launch of Explora V, this collection marks a new era–one that invites travelers to slow down, look deeper and connect more meaningfully with new parts of the world around them.”
Asia Debut With Explora III
For the first time, Explora Journeys will offer 28 immersive Asian itineraries aboard Explora III, calling at 47 destinations across Japan, South Korea, China, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore. Each port represents a maiden call for the brand. Guests will benefit from extended overnight stays in Tokyo, Osaka, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Ha Long Bay, Ho Chi Minh City and Bali, as well as thoughtfully timed sailings coinciding with seasonal moments and cultural events such as autumn’s maple blaze in Kyoto, spring’s cherry blossoms in Shimizu and Chinese New Year celebrations onboard in January 2028.
Explora V in the Mediterranean and Beyond
In December 2027, Explora V will join the fleet with a distinctive series of Mediterranean sailings in the quiet season, when destinations like La Valletta, Cagliari, Split, Dubrovnik and Istanbul are best experienced without summer crowds. Highlights include a maiden call in Salerno on the Amalfi Coast, and a New Year’s Eve celebration in Naples, complete with panoramic views of the city’s famed fireworks from the ship.
After its Mediterranean debut, Explora V will reposition to the Red Sea and Arabian Peninsula, offering itineraries that span Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Oman, the UAE, Qatar and Bahrain. Together with Explora I, the season will feature UNESCO World Heritage landmarks such as Petra, Luxor, the Pyramids of Giza and Saudi Arabia’s AlUla, with multiple overnights designed for deeper exploration.
Colorful Voyages Across the Americas
Elsewhere in the fleet, Explora II and Explora IV will sail the Caribbean, Central America and South America. Their itineraries feature 51 destinations across 30 countries, including a maiden call in Port Antonio, Jamaica, and less-visited gems such as Jost Van Dyke (BVI), Terre-de-Haut (Guadeloupe) and Boca da Valeria in the Amazon. Both ships will welcome 2028 anchored off San Juan, Puerto Rico, offering a front-row view of the island’s legendary fireworks.
Elevating the “Ocean State of Mind”
With close to 100 Journeys designed for cultural immersion, overnight stays, and seasonal highlights, the 2027–2028 collection underscores Explora Journeys’ vision of evolving luxury ocean travel into something slower, more purposeful and deeply enriching.
