Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh is currently over the moon. As he is preparing for the release of Dhurandhar’s sequel, the 2025 film has been breaking records set by previously released films. After earning the title of the highest-grossing film of 2025, it went on to surpass international records set by films like RRR, Sultan, Pathaan, Kalki 2898 AD, and many others. Now Dhurandhar has broken yet another record, this time set by Pushpa 2: The Rule’s Hindi dub version.

Yes, you read that! On Wednesday afternoon, the makers of the film took to their official social media handles to celebrate Dhurandhar earning Rs 831 crore net domestically. Jio Studios, in their post, claimed that the Aditya Dhar directorial has become “India’s highest-grossing Hindi film.” They captioned the Instagram post, “Thank you, India. You have crowned a new No. 1. #Dhurandhar is now India’s biggest Hindi film ever. Book your tickets. (Link in bio).”

For those who don’t know, Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna’s 2024 pan-Indian film was a blockbuster hit worldwide, with the Hindi dub version earning Rs 821 crore. Within just a month of its release, the movie has surpassed the collections of other films like Chhaava, Kantara: A Legend Chapter 1, Jawan, Stree 2, Gadar 2, Pathan, Animal, and Baahubali 2, cementing itself as one of India’s most powerful films ever made.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar stars Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Sara Arjun, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal. Released on December 5, 2025, the second part of the film will be released in March 2026. While the makers are yet to officially comment on the speculation, netizens believe that Dhurandhar is a prequel to Dhar’s debut film URI: The Surgical Strike.
