Marvel Studios surprised all the fans and media gathered at the Comic Con in San Diego on Friday by dropping a couple of exclusive footage of their new shows like ‘Spider-Man: Freshman Year’, ‘I Am Groot’, ‘Marvel Zombies’. But that wasn’t all as the giant production house even announced that would soon return with a reboot series based on X-Men while confirming two more seasons of ‘What If…?’.
With Marvel Studios’ latest series ‘Ms. Marvel’ already securing good response from audience and critics, and scoring really well on Rotten Tomatoes, MCU fans expected Marvel Studios to share a long slate of upcoming projects. But with Marvel announcing their first TV-MA show (Marvel Zombies) along with a couple of animated shows, MCU fans have taken to social media and expressed their excitement about the newly announced shows. Spider-Man: Freshman Year
Writer-producer Jeff Trammell teased the audience with the concept art of ‘Spider-Man: Freshman Year’ featuring the fan-favourite superhero in a couple of new costumes and fighting new villains. “I don’t want to spoil anything, but expect the unexpected,” Trammell said before sharing the concept art of the upcoming MCU. Slated to arrive on Disney Plus Hotstar in 2024, ‘Spider-Man: Freshman Year’ will also star Charlie Cox as Daredevil.

What If…? Season 2
After hitting the jackpot with the first season of their animated series ‘What If…?’, Marvel is all set to roll out the second season soon. While they dropped the first look of the second season (while hinting about the third), MCU fans would soon get a glimpse of Hela (from Thor: Ragnarok) and other Marvel characters exploring the multiverse. The second season of ‘What If…?’ is expected to release early next year.

Marvel Zombies
Marvel Studios’ first TV-MA show ‘Marvel Zombies’ is reported to take place in an alternate reality where the new Marvel superheroes (Scarlet Witch, Shang-Chi, Hawkeye, Ghost, Captain Marvel, and others) will face zombie villains. While the makers of the new series shared the concept art at the Comic Con, fans have already started flooding the internet with interesting theories. Meanwhile, the release date of the ‘Marvel Zombies’ hasn’t been announced yet.

I Am Groot
One of the most loved ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ characters, Groot is all set to get his own series. The new series which is scheduled to arrive on Disney Plus Hotstar on August 10, will revolve around the fan-favourite character in his baby form. The recently-dropped trailer of the new MCU series offers a glimpse of the adorable Groot and his fun adventures.
X-Men ’97
After teasing fans with the theory of mutation in ‘Ms. Marvel’, Marvel has finally announced the release date of its much-awaited X-Men series. Titled ‘X-Men ’97’, Marvel confirmed that the new series will release on Disney Plus Hotstar next year (in fall). While the series is reported to be in the early stages of development, the arrival of X-Men in MCU has left fans excited.
