Avaline is a vegan wine brand co-founded by actresses Cameron Diaz and Katherine Power. Recently they added a new certified Sauvignon Blanc organic wine to their collection.

Made with zero sugar and low sulfites, this pale straw-colored Sauvignon Blanc wine offers aromatic rose petals on the nose. There is a touch of citrusy lime and juicy pink grapefruit on the palate. The well balanced finish with nice acidity is ideal to pair with Cameron Diaz’ new ‘Cameron Summer Crunch Salad’ now available at Goop Kitchen.

Diaz partnered with her friend, actress, and modern lifestyle brand entrepreneur Gwyneth Paltrow, to offer her healthy summer salad at Goop Kitchen, an extension of goop, founded by Paltrow in 2008. Paltrow now has five Goop Kitchen locations preparing plant-based and vegetarian culinary options, as well as sustainably sourced meat, seafood and dairy.

In an interview, Diaz said, “When I’m dreaming about my ideal summer afternoon, say a Saturday in late July, it includes a fresh summer salad, a crisp glass of Sauvignon Blanc and a table full of friends.’

Those living or visiting the Los Angeles area can order this salad on the Goop Kitchen website for pick up or delivery. For those not in the Los Angeles area, Diaz happily shared her recipe.

‘Cameron’s Summer Crunch Salad’ is made with layers of Gem lettuce, avocado, snow peas, carrots, cucumbers, mango slaw and fresh herbs (basil, mint and cilantro). It’s served with a side of puffed rice, candied cashews and a cashew vinaigrette.

    1. Layer salad greens on the bottom of a bowl or plate.

    2. Chop vegetables and layer on top of the greens.

    3. Add mango and avocado on top.

    4. Garnish with herbs and toss the dressing with the salad.

    5. Finish with cashews and puffed rice.

    6. Add a wedge of lime on the side.

    7. Serve with a glass of Avaline Sauvignon Wine. Retails for $26 a bottle.
