Badshah Slapped With FIR In Haryana For ‘Tateeree’ Song Controversy; Singer Responds As LOC Issued [WATCH]

Haryana Police have registered an FIR against rapper Aditya Prateek Sisodia, professionally known as Badshah, taking cognizance of objectionable visuals and lyrics of ‘Tateeree,’ a Haryanvi song. An FIR was filed at the Cyber Police Station in Sector 20, Panchkula and also a Look Out Circular (LOC) has been issued against the artist to prevent him from leaving the country.

Reportedly, the FIR was filed by a social activist after the objectionable video of Badshah’s latest song hit the internet. The show depicted dancers as girls in school uniforms grooving to condescending lyrics in an inappropriate manner.

Per reports, Badshah is slapped with an FIR under Sections 3 and 4 of the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, 1986, and Section 296 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) concerning obscene acts and songs.

Amid the brouhaha, Badshah took to social media and released a statement claiming that the music videos have been taken off all platforms. He remarked that “Nothing is above the sentiments of my people.”

Meanwhile, the Haryana State Commission for Women has summoned Badhshah on March 13, to explain himself.
