AFC Richmond can add another win to the board, because Ted Lasso is taking home the Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series.

The beloved Apple TV+ comedy, which stars Jason Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, Juno Temple, and a slew of other talents, received an impressive 20 nominations ahead of the 73rd Annual Emmy Awards.

Prior to the show’s Outstanding Comedy Series win on Sunday, Brett Goldstein won Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series, Hannah Waddingham won Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, and Jason Sudeikis won Best Lead Actor in a Comedy.

Other nominees for Outstanding Comedy Series included Hacks, black-ish, Cobra Kai, The Flight Attendant, The Kominsky Method, Pen15, and Emily in Paris.

Ted Lasso also had several wins before the ceremony, including the telling Outstanding Casting For A Comedy Series award. The winner of that award has gone on to win best comedy six years in a row.

We have a feeling this cast won’t be channeling their inner goldfish tonight. This is truly a win to remember.
